Building a Legacy of Faith, Resilience, and Entrepreneurship
My story is not one of shortcuts or overnight success. It is one of setbacks, perseverance, and divine purpose.
In 2005, my wife and I achieved what many dream of—we purchased our first home. Yet, beneath the joy were financial scars from past bankruptcy and credit challenges. A family decision to live on one income, paired with rising mortgage costs, ultimately forced us to let go of that home by the spring of 2006.
Instead of allowing defeat to define us, we embraced resilience. We relocated with our extended family, committed ourselves to rebuilding our credit, and endured years of financial strain. By 2013, we faced another financial low point—bankruptcy for over $150,000 in debt. At the same time, I battled health challenges, including a month-long hospitalization. These storms tested everything we had—but not our faith.
By 2014, I made a decision: we would not just survive, we would grow forward. In 2015, I returned to school to study Supply Chain and Logistics Management, sharpening the skills I knew would be foundational for the next chapter of my journey.
In 2016, a divine calling reshaped my life. Out of faith and conviction, I launched Food By The Word LLC—a venture rooted in Christian values, dedicated to natural and organic foods, and built to nourish both body and spirit. This was not just a business. It became a platform for fellowship, discipleship, and healthier living through biblical principles.
That same year, my professional path shifted dramatically. My commitment to honesty and integrity clashed with corporate expectations, leading to the end of a position. But that setback was, in truth, a release into my greater purpose. Drawing from nearly two decades of industry leadership—including roles as General Manager at Donatos Pizzeria and Dock Manager at Advanced Turf Solutions—I stepped fully into entrepreneurship.
Today, I lead Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC, an enterprise that extends far beyond one business. With subsidiaries like Food By The Word and forward-focused initiatives such as Future Facing AI, our mission is clear: to equip leaders, build sustainable ventures, and shape the future of business through research, data, and innovation. In a world driven by rapid change, our strength is in turning raw information into actionable insights that empower decision-makers.
At the heart of every endeavor is faith.
Two verses guide my life and work:
• Deuteronomy 14:3 – “Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.”
• 1 Corinthians 10:24 – “Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.”
These are not just words; they are the foundation of a philosophy where business and faith intersect, where success is measured not only in profit but in impact, relationships, and legacy.
Every challenge I have faced has fueled growth. Every loss has prepared me for leadership. Every setback has been a setup for purpose.
This is more than entrepreneurship—it is a legacy in the making. A legacy where resilience is a testimony, faith is the driver, and entrepreneurship is the tool for building a brighter, purpose-driven future.
And the truth is—I’m just getting started.
Everyday I come to work, I come ready to succeed and grow our businesses, "This is who I am"!
"My Three Personal Rules:
1 Serve the Lord with all of my Heart
2 Serve my Family with all of Me
3 Grow Forward No Matter What!"
